I've had a Sabal sp. Birmingham in the ground for about 4 years here in Owasso, OK, a northern suburb of Tulsa (zone 6b). It has endured heavy ice storms for 3 of the last 4 years, including the last 2 in a row. But.....Wow! has it grown this year. It was planted as a small 5 gallon and the top leaves now reach to my chin (I am 5,10"). Anyone else love this plant??
