Nice work Austin. He looked somewhat beat up there earlier, but of course by then he had gotten wet and was still dazed (we've all been there,haven't we LOL). But really you probably rescued him just in time, with their constant need to keep feeding. In addition to your feeder, do you have anything that blooms which they like? The biggest magnet I've had here are Cardinal Flowers which thet go CRAZY over. And they bloom upwards on stalks so they last a while. You probably already know, but they are native and grow naturally in wet areas, but the ones I planted do fine even if it gets dry as well in summer heat. Actually, I only planted one, and it spreads on its own and there's probably about 15 or 20. Of course some could be pulled or easily transplanted (and to form a nice clump) - further amplifying the vivid red color, and giving the hummingbirds a humungous feast.
