The Growing Season is Over for the Mid-South

Well, it's over for the year! Temperatures at my place bottomed out at 30 degrees. This reading is taken on the roof with my Vantage Pro 2 weather station so more than likely, it was a little colder at ground level. This marks the first freeze for my area, and it came about normal. The bananas have that chocolaty-green look to them right now so they are toast. It has been a great growing season with regular summer rains and not so hot summer temperatures. I'm looking forward to spring!
