I'm glad you like the pictures. I think the fortuneis don't like the heat Dallas has. They prefer a zone 7b climate really--they look perfect in this zone. Also, Dallas doesn't get enough rainfall to make them happy either. Given this combo, they aren't the best choice. If I lived in Dallas, I'd much rather have a Pindo palm or a Wash. Filifera.
I haven't payed any attention to the loquats or guavas that may grow in Little Rock. I sure didn't know these plants are so hardy! I bet they have a nice tropical appearance. I need to give them a try.
Yes, spanish moss grows in the first two rows of counties next to Louisiana. It's scattered around and not really too prevalent, however. You have to search for it. I like spanish moss. I have some on my crape myrtle.
