Nice assortment of palms and subtropicals for Zone 7! They look great by your pool indeed. There's nothing like water, palms, and sand (which we need!) to replicate the tropics. I first got started with palms and then moved into bananas and gingers. Gingers bring another element to the garden with late summer blooms so you may want to consider them next year as filler plants. Keep us posted as summer winds down. Isn't it fun pushing the envelope?
