Has the USSSA considered lowering entry fees some? Christ, this is rediculous; evidenced by the dwindling number of teams who can put the cheddar together for a weekend.
It appears the USSSA is "swinging for the fence" every weekend, instead of trying to "put a few hits back to back"!
Other areas have a few tourneys thrown in there in the $125 to $150 range.
At $200 for a 3GG, that is $65 and change per game. One ump accounts for what, $20-25? A lot of profiting going on. Consider trying to lower entry fees.
