Have you heard of twitter.com? It's a social networking site where you can post short messages to let people know what you're doing right now. I signed up for it, but you can't find me yet because there's an issue with the People Search at twitter. However, since you're on the inside track at the johnnyairtime.com message board, I'll give you a way to find me and follow what I'm doing. No stalkers unless you're a fine (female) babe. In that case, follow me...you wouldn't believe how slow I can run!
Just go here: http://twitter.com/johnnyairtime and you can follow me.
If you sign up for twitter (it's free), you can follow me and know what I might be doing day-to-day. You'll only know the things I want you to know, so don't think that I'm only doing the things you see on twitter. My lifestyle fluctuates between Pastrana-esque to a yawnfest. Maybe your life is interesting enough that I will want to follow you on twitter.
Dana White, president of the UFC, was "twittering" from ringside at the last UFC event. Actually it's called tweeting. Joe Rogan called it twittering.
I can imagine that if I tell a girl to twitter me, she might slap the donkey snot out of me, but if she's up on the new lingo and is chillin' on the mod squad tip, she'll be "down" and know that I mean to put a message up on twitter.com. She might even say, "No, I don't twitter, but I'll e-mail you my facebook address and we'll talk through that."
If I go to a movie, I can twitter that fact, and the twitterers who follow me will know what I'm doing. Conversely, if you go to the cockfights and twitter that, if I'm following you on twitter, I'll know you're at the cockfights and can meet you there for a cold one, or at least a hefty discount on some chicken meat. Just kidding of course, I would never want to go to any cockfights. Girl fights are fun though. They almost always draw a crowd.
