MOTTVILLE,MI, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17,2009-Al Maurer(IN), Kevin Grubb (IN) and Patrick Mcnamara(MI) scored feature wins on day 1 of the 24th Annual Indiana-Michigan Challenge Cup at the Mottville Speedway. Grubb held off George Flowers and Jim Newman for his first feature win of the season! The win was good for $100. Flowers was good for 2nd, Newman 3rd and 4th went to Joey Eller. Flowers won the heat. McNamara won his 3rd Mini Thunder Car feature of the season over Ryan Stauffer, Steven Schmidt, Jayson Anderson and Jim Hammond. Aaron Murphy overheated in the heat and was unable to run the feature. Mcnamara and Stauffer won heats. Al Maurer won an easy $100 in winning the Street Stock feature over Rick Reed, who made $50! Day two is Sunday with gates opening around 2:30 and we hope to start racing prompty at 4pm! Goshen Collision Centeer is sponsoring the 24th Annual Indiana Michigan-Challenge Cup and the Eldridge family is donating trophies for the Sunday winners!
