2013 MOTTVILLE SPEEDWAY MINI THUNDER CAR RULES CAR ELIGIBILITY: Front wheel drive, four cylinder, non-turbo charged passenger cars. 6 cylinder , front wheel drive cars must have automatic transmission. No AWD. General-Fenders may be trimmed (if not excessive) to remove rust out. You may add a steel protector plate to the driver’s door. Stock appearing bumpers required. Bumpers may be welded in place. Bumper ends may be capped and have supplemental attachments to the finders which prevents the hooking of bumpers. All exterior trim including lights, body moldings, mirrors, etc. must be removed. All side and back glass must be removed. Windshield may be Lexan. A single plane rear spoiler with a maximum height of 6" allowed. ROLL CAGES: OPTIONAL: Roll bars or cages are not required. Cages or bars, if used, should be installed and constructed so the B hoop is higher than drivers and passenger's head. If cage or bar is mounted to the floor pan, a 12" x 12" steel plate should be used at hoop mounting points. Door bars are Mandatory. TIRES AND WHEELS: Stock type wheel, 165 thru 235 60/65/70 16" tire Safety wheels ok. Offset wheel allowed on right front & right rear only, must be same size. .BATTERIES:must be securely tied down. ENGINE: Complete stock motor no modifications!!! OPTIONAL: Removal of excess wiring, sensors, etc. TRANSMISSION & REAR AXLE: Stock, unmodified transmission and transaxle, as manufactured and delivered, with working forward and reverse gears. BRAKES:Stock. EXHAUST: MANDATORY: A complete tight exhaust system with a maximum size of 2" od. must be run from the engine to an area behind the driver and. MUST EXIT UNDER CAR OR OUT THE REAR OF CAR. Decibel limit 100. STEERING AND SUSPENSION: Stock only. Some slight modification allowed. COOLING SYSTEMS: Any stock radiator allowed which will fit in stock brackets. 180-degree fan shroud required. 1 gal. Overflow can required. . FUEL TANKS: Cars without the fuel pump mounted in the tank must use a cell or marine type tank mounted in the trunk. FUEL: Pump Gas only, 97 octane or less. Race gas not permitted. NUMBERS: Min 18" high numbers contrasting color are required on both doors and the roof.. SEAT BELTS AND WINDOW NETS REQUIRED: HELMETS: Snell SA-95 or newer required, SNELL SA-2000 recommended. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS REQUIRED: TOW HOOK REQUIRED-FRONT AND REAR!. Min 3 cars to run as separate division.
