I have just read through the following page http://www.no-cctv.org.uk/blog/cctv_in_schools_-_students_fight_back.htm and agree that permanent fixed camera seem very big brotherish. I read about having a camcorder at the front of a class and found a company who do something very similar and actually have additional tools available that back up their camera for teacher training purposes.
