i think its a great idea!
i have just listened to mr. farrier on 5 live.
during the interview, he continually contradicted himself in the points he put forward. he complained that the quality of most footage was not of a high enough standard to solve crimes... then said that increasing the standard of footage would infringe on people's liberties... DOH!
personally i cant wait to go 'scum catching' on the internet. and if anyone catches me committing crime on cctv (which they wont 'cause i dont do crime... and i think that 'not committing crime' is a failsafe method when trying to avoid being caught 'committing crime' on cctv) it'll be my own damn fault (or maybe it wont be my fault... there may be underlying circumstances to my crimewave... after all, i am part of the 'public rabble')
