Posted by Dan McCartney on July 2, 2007, 2:25 pm Have been trying to get the name of a piece of old equipment, found your email on the internet through a search, and am hoping you can answer this: What is the name of an old time tool used for lifting heavy objects like logs or stones and moving them to another place? It is a long pole, maybe 12 feet. It is on two wheels that act as a fulcrum, and there is a finger like hook, maybe for a chain, at the end. You hook the finger hook and chain onto a large rock, and when you push down on the long, lever like handle, it raises the object off the ground and the wheels allow you to move it. Essentially, it is a lever and fulcrum on wheels; what is the name of this contraption? Totally stumped, Dan
