In July 2002 we had a film installed on all of the interior side of our windows. The product used was V-Kool. It is represented to screen out 99% of UV rays and 50/55% of solar heat.
In May 2007 we had installed new window covers made by Hunter Douglas. They are of double honey comb construction, and provide insulation from solar heat and from outside cold temperatures. These were purchased from Floor Factors, who we found had a substantially lower price than others we checked.
We have literature on both of the above items if you are interested.
