Posted by Langley Austin on September 19, 2007, 1:07 am The lights that went out on the back straightaway early in the 150 lap UARA-STARS event weren't the only "leichts" to go out on Saturday. The Leicht Motorsports team made up of drivers Matt and Kevin Leicht made the decision to leave the UARA event prior to the race Saturday night after UARA officials made the decision to requalify the cars. Wait, let me back up ... Matt Leicht qualified on the pole during what turned out to be the first of two qualifying sessions and after drivers in the second group complained to series officials, they decided to requalify the cars, a decision that forced the Leicht's to load up their two entries and head for the house over five hours away in Arden, North Carolina. We'll have more on this story tomorrow when we get a chance to talk to the two teenage drivers during the Martinsville Speedway Test Session. Check back for their side of the story tomorrow.
