Posted by Franklin County Speedway on September 23, 2007, 6:55 pm Carroll jumped to the lead from his outside pole starting position. He was pressured early by 1987 FCS Late Model Stock Car champion and Harbour Racing Products pole sitter Tink Reedy. Reedy could get close early but Carroll proved to be way too strong. Following Carroll and Reedy to the checkered flag was 14-year-old Darrell Wallace, Jr., Rick Sigmon and Calvin Brooks. Also announced at Franklin County Speedway was a $3,000-to-win Late Model Stock Car race for Saturday October 6th. With many tracks closing for the season, this race should be well attended by many drivers who have not raced at FCS this year. Details will be forthcoming shortly. Please check the track website at www.franklincospeedway.com for more news about this big race.

Callaway, VA ~ Buster Carroll felt like Franklin County Speedway owed him one after dominating the Pro-Line Trailer Sales Late Model Stock Car race two weeks ago. Late in that race Carroll was involved in contact with a lapped car that took that win away. Saturday September 22nd would not be a repeat of that situation as Carroll led flag-to-flag to win the 75-lap LMSC portion of the Eric Ferguson 200.
