Manassas, Va. -- Saturday night was championship night at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Va. Up for grabs, championships in three of the five divisions. The Cowles Parkway Ford / NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model championship was all but decided before the drop of the green as Michael Hardin was crowned the track champ once he lined up for the 100 lap feature. Fortunately for Hardin, the car count was a bit slim on this night, as he was swept up in a lap two crash which eliminated him from competition and relegating him to a last place finish. Still, his dominance throughout the entire season was enough to win the championship by 14 points over Kyle Hall. Speaking of Hall, being at the right place at the right time for a second week in row resulted in his third win of the 2007 season. Last Saturday night, Hall took advantage of a late race crash by the leaders and took home win number two. This past Saturday night, Hall was once again in the right place as early leader Dave Moon and second place Jason Shultz tangled with only a handful of laps remaining, which allowed him to take home his third win in his rookie season.
“ODS Big One”, a $5000.00 to win Late Model 250 lap event.
