Concord, NC ~ Sitting around here in the office of RACE22.com "World Headquarters" better known as the kitchen in my house, Kimberly Smith, my fiance' and I have been working feverishly to get things ready for this weekends UARA-STARS Series season opener and today has been calm, but it's like being in the eye of hurricane ... you know what's waiting on the other side.
As of the time I sit down to write this article there are 47 official entries for the Whitley Truck Equipment 150 UARA-STARS season opening event and I could sit here and name about ten more drivers I can see isn't already on that list. Meanwhile here in the RACE22.com offices we're busy making sure we'll have a new UARA Magazine ready to sell at the track this weekend all the while preparing for a lot of photo printing on Friday evening so the photos can be sold on Saturday morning and we're getting Kim all dialed in to "officially" shoot her first video, officially for sales purposes that is.
Hopefully you've checked out the video we had up the last couple of days from Concord last Saturday night during the season opener for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Cars. So far we've got a lot of compliments on kids videos, hopefully she can do an even better job when we get down to 'go time' on Saturday night.
Last night was the fourth show for our very own Doc Love's radio show known as Kick'n Asphalt which can be heard live every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00pm on www.RaceFanRadio.com or you can listen to it on the websites archives. Last night's show was a huge preview of the UARA-STARS Season Opener which featured series drivers Jake Crum, Brad Kurth and Darrell Wallace, Jr. as well as series marketing director, Harold Crook, RACE22.com's own Langley Austin and Corey Latham and former series champion, Brandon Ward, who is now a regular on the USAR Hooters Pro-Cup Northern tour.
It was a great show and hopefully next week Doc will be able to get this weekends winner and/or top performer on the show to talk about the race weekend that was. Also we should be able to bring you some of Doc's audio, as the new announcer for the UARA-STARS this season as well as a fully detailed story by Corey Latham, our resident reporter and as always I'll bring you the "Official Photos of the UARA-STARS". Kimberly also plans to have us some video highlight clips to watch from the season opener and we'll also be showing you the past weeks predictions from the RACE22.com crew and the WP Racing Shocks Power Rankings, which is available exclusively inside the UARA Magazine, which is sold new each week at the track.
As usual with all we have to do at the track during the course of the weekend ... this may very well be the last new thing on RACE22.com this week until Sunday when we'll bring you the most up to date and most in depth information on the race that took place. Also a note, I believe there will be "Trackside Now" updates being done by www.Speed51.com and you will be able to read about everything that happens on a "live update" kind of deal ... so if you get a chance check it out.
