Wytheville, VA ~ As I sit here and check out the landscape of the SouthEast Regions Late Model Stock Car racing I'm just dying not to be at the Hampton Heat 200 this weekend, it's likely going to be the third biggest Late Model Stock Car race on the Calendar for our region and RACE22.com will not be able to make the trip out east.
The Hampton Heat 200 and the $15,000 Winners share of the purse this weekend will certainly highlight this upcoming weekends racing action, but there's plenty of action all across the region ...
Friday, July 11th:
Ace Speedway/Altamahaw, NC ~ Ace will feature a 75-lap Late Model Stock Car race this weekend with Speedy Faucette trying to win his seventh race of the season and Rodney Cook tries to keep his momentum up from racing at Franklin County Speedway.
Tri-County Motor Speedway/Hudson, NC ~ TCMS will get back to regular racing on the 4/10 mile track after the Mountain Dew 200 was contested there on last Friday with Matt McCall and the Pig Rig team tearin' it up and getting the big victory. Andy Loden looks to continue his dominace and gain on his 102 point lead in the standings on Friday.
Saturday, July 12th:
Caraway Speedway/Asheboro, NC ~ Randy Benson, who has won five of the nine races contested so far this season looks to add to his points lead in a 75-lap feature for the LMSC. Benson, who finished second last Wednesday to BJ Mackey in the Rusty Harpe Memorial race, is one of only three drivers to compete in every race so far this season as he looks to be a top contender for the track championship.
Concord Motorsport Park/Concord, NC ~ There will be no Late Model Stock Car race this weekend as the ASA South Super Late Models take to the track.
Franklin County Speedway/Callaway, VA ~ Rodney Cook's recent win streak at Franklin County Speedway will take a week off as the ASA SMRT Modifieds roll into the fast 3/8 mile track. Cook and Jimmy Mullins will be back at it again on Saturday, July 19th.
Greenville-Pickens Speedway/Greenville, SC ~ Twin 50's are on tap this weekend as Marty Ward tries to stay ahead of David Roberts and youngster, Coleman Pressley in the LMSC Points Standings with the top three being 30 points apart.
Langley Speedway/Langley, VA ~ The Hampton Heat 200 hits the track this weekend for the LMSC with a 200-lap $15,000 to Win feature and a $51,000 purse up for grabs. The Hampton Heat will have some tough competitors as JR Motorsports driver and Motor Mile feature winner, Davin Scites as well as some of the regions toughest competitors go head to head for the big prize in mid-July.
Motor Mile Speedway/Radford, VA ~ The Hooters Pro-Cup Series invades the Motor Mile Speedway this weekend and they will also host the Late Model Stock Cars for 150-laps as Philip Morris tries to make it seven wins in a row and best his recent record breaking sixth straight win. Morris' biggest competitor, Davin Scites, who is second in points will miss this weekends race in an effort to win the big prize money at Langley Speedway. Forrest Reynolds has three straight second place finishes and hopes to move up one more spot as they checkered flag falls this weekend.
Music City Motorplex/Nashville, TN ~ The Music City Motorplex will feature a 50-lap event this weekend with Andy Johnson trying to stay on a roll this weekend after several big wins for the veteran driver.

Orange County Speedway/Rougemont, NC ~ No Racing this Weekend.
South Boston Speedway/South Boston, VA ~ Twin 75's on tap for the Late Model Stock Cars as Wayne Ramsey looks to add to his 11 point lead over Justin Johnson, who had a tough week last week wrecking both his primary and back-up cars at South Boston on Thursday and Caraway on Wednesday.
