I wish I could of been around for when the state meet was held at Elkins. I mean sure the times would be awfully slow but that course is what XC is all about. My high school coach always used to say in 10th grade that "the winner of that race is no doubt a true XC champion. The creek crossings and steep trails are what make it." With that being said, Cabells course is spectacular and the way they hold their meet is even better. Maybe if they just officiated at Elkins every other year..... just wishful thinking doe.
