It sounds like you were referring to me, so I'll explain myself. I'm all for runners running for themselves and not the state. I'll be the first to admit that I run for myself. However, I'll never purposely and flagrantly insult a West Virginian's future running career (especially not on a public forum).
I've always had the mentality that you're supposed to support your friends and fellow West Virginians, while silently trying to improve and beat them at the same time. Putting someone down won't make you faster. Maybe that's just my opinion, but personally I feel like it's a great one. Feel free to disagree.
