Thanks, Rick. People like the one who made this post, along with the dozens of other cowards who wont say their name (including the one who called the tournament director complaining and would not give his name, even though he failed to block his number), dont care anything about what we do for others or like Joe said on this post, coming out to support the umpire staff.
Over $2,000 was raised yesterday in team entries which go to support the umpire association. No where in any of the rules or details does it say Class D/E. We are a local team with local players, and had an the weekend off and wanted to get some swings and prepare for next weekends "real" tournament.
It sickens me that players would rather cry and complain instead of man up and try to get better. This doesnt include all of the lower teams. I give a lot of credit to teams like Outlaws and Tasers (who is really a middle of the road "upper" team, but no complaints from anyone about them), who want to play better teams, take their lumps, then are cool enough to come up to us after the games and ask how they can get better, or how they can get their team to that next level.
Oh well, little things like this weekend do not phase us at all. We know that for every two people that support us, one hates us. And we are fine with that.
Rick, good luck to you as well, my friend. See you on the field.
