:The shortage of CO's is just a never ending problem with TDC ; As has the pay .
For a lot of people the money was not such a big deal .
There is one major problem that no one seems to want to talk about ; Which is the MANDATORY OVERTIME . This is a major problem and has forced a great number of former CO's to be without a job .
A large number of TDC's workforce is single mothers trying to give their kids a decent lifestyle . They are forced to do or are confronted with mandatory overtime up to 16 hours, childcare is a big problem .
Bofore that a dog tired CO's life is in danger even away from the job , because of rest / sleep deprivation by TDCJ.
Still my question is ; How can this be allowed , is it because it is a state agency ?
