The first time you get your medication after 09-01-2009, they will hit you with a monsterous co-pay. After the first time your co-pay should go down until 09-01-2010 and you will be hit again for a monsterous annual co-pay.
The first co-pay went up despite most of our medical cost being grandfathered in.
The Texas Legislature will be looking to cut ERS insurance cost this next session, which will mean higher cost for us.
Rep. Zerwas and Senator Duncan tried to sneak managed care in this session and almost got it. We were able to get the bill killed before it reached the House floor. Perry would have gladly signed this bad piece of legislation into law.
All managed health does is give your PCP a bonus to deny you coverage. There is no "DEATH PANEL" like insurance companies have, your doctor gets a bonus to kill you. Why have a middle man? These are the great ideals some of our elected leaders in Texas came up with. Look it up SB 10 (81R) @ http://www.legis.state.tx.us
