1st practice was delayed till 5:45p.m.ET because of a light shower passing thru.
SPEED TV showed TED sitting in his #59 truck getting ready to go onto the track once the track dried. Thing was, the red cover was still on the truck, so no early glimps of the new paint job. (Hearing it is suppose to be similar to the ASE #2 paint job that Jimmy Spencer had when he was TED's teammate.)
TED is 11th fastest during 1st practice with a speed of 184.65. (That's 48.742 seconds.)
With 20 minutes left in practice, Ray Dunlap interviews TED in the garage area. TED has parked the #59 ASE Harris Trucking Toyota Tundra. He is satisfied with the way it is handling. He says, "It's handling great." He also says,"We are getting ready for tomorrow." He was running around with a wrench in his hand fixing his mirrors. He says, "One of the most important things here at Daytona is the location of your mirrors and I couldn't see my left side that well for drafting."
Never did get a gander at the new paint job either...lol.
Maybe at Final Practice, or not till Qualifying tomorrow.
