It seemed this year that the watermelon red bite stuck around for a while longer than I remember in the past. Think it has got to do with the warmer winter or late start to winter!? right? The crawdads didn't start changing colors as soon. Also, I remember as a "younger"
kid (last year, hahajk) catching crawdads at my grandmothers pond and the little ones seemed to be more pale red and the bigger they got started getting into the dark reds and blues. On the radio the other day I had also heard that crawdads blood is blue while in the body and clear when it hits oxygen (or visa versa?) Ever heard that? Random facts
