I gotta say I don't have any regrets. To win an event of that size you have to do something like that.....fish more remotely, more slowly, and often more deeply than the next guy.
We swung for the fences and still managed to survive with a limit. Often times when you swing that hard you strike out- not the case here, so I think we will count our bessings!
We live to fight another day......
