I took my son to Lake Bastrop. We had pretty tough go of it on the main lake when we first got there. Pretty windy. We fished from about 1 to 6:15. Around 3 or so the wind died down. We got on 'em pretty good in the big creek on the north end of the lake next to North Shore ramp. They were around isolated grass patches, and suspended around 6 feet off the bottom in the timber.
We had a great time. Brayden caught a solid 3.5 lb. chunk and a few smaller fish, and he lost a 4 to 5 pounder at the boat.
He is showing everyone his "bass rash" on his hand today......I am a proud Pop to say the least!
