Gentlemen... Tuesday night in Norristown was not good for a dozen different reasons. That night was embarrassing and by no way was it a reflection of what our team is about or has ever been. Let's fix it and address it. The obvious problem doesn't need to be discussed on this forum and has been discussed behind closed doors with those most directly involved. If you want to talk about that, see me in person. The thing that bothered me the most was the way we laid down on Tuesday. 2 ugly and embarrassing losses. Most of us drive too far to have to play through games where guys are not giving 100% effort and working hard. We are making too many stupid mistakes and giving the other teams too many outs. If you need or want some extra batting practice, let me know. I'll go to the field and pitch to you - even if it's just the two of us. It's time to tighten up and stop counting on everyone else on the team to carry your less than 100% effort. We have more talent on our team this year but we are not playing as hard and as well as we should be. Let's turn the corner, put Tuesday behind us and start picking it up. If you don't want to play hard, or can't - save me the aggravation of making line up decisions and sit on the bench or stay home. We've got a ton of talent on this team, so let's start putting it all together and start winning some games. Have a little pride in the uniform you're wearing and the group of guys you represent...the next chapter in 2008 begins now...let's step it up fellas!
