1ST ANNUAL Meg Skulley Charity Softball Tournament
Meg is a close family friend of mine. And back when she was at the University of Pittsburgh she had to battle with Leukemia in her senior year(2005). She beat the disease and graduated college and has been working in the Lehigh Valley ever since. But n the past month (July/August) the disease has come back and she is going thru the whole process over again. In the time I’ve known Meg she always enjoyed coming down to the ball field and watching us play and was an athlete herself. I want to try to put together a tournament the weekend of OCT 3rd . (October 4th if needed). All monies will go directly to Meg. I will have a homerun Derby sometime during the day that will cost $20 dollars to enter. The tournament winner will get some kind of package for winning. Could be pullovers, t shirts, and set of pants. I am not sure yet but will figure out in the coming weeks. There will be food and drinks for sale. Alcohol is permitted at this location. I am not sure how I will do it. But feel free to bring cases or kegs. Please come out and support the cause and have a fun day at the fields. Thanks.
$200 dollars to enter
Location: Bethlehem, PA Saucon Fields(3 fields) possible 5 fields if needed. The fields are right near Lehigh Universities Football field and the new Sands Casino in Bethlehem Pa.
It will be and ASA format. We will have bracket play to DOUBLE ELIM for A Flight only. All other brackets will be single elimination after pool play ( freak will be usable because the league there allows the use of the freak). Hr Derby any bat.
Balls will be supplied. Most likely will use thunder heats 44-375. Fields are on the smaller side . 5 HR’s per game then outs.
There will be one offensive buy back and one defensive buy back per game for 5 dollars each.
