Good morning. I have some not-so-good news to pass along to you about Kaye Newcomb. She is having a really rough time right now with the Parkinson's Disease and the seemingly rapid progression of the disease. In the last month, she has been to her doctor 4 times. Kaye's doctor has been turning up the battery pack in her chest to try to keep Kaye at more of an even keel. It has not been working. Last week, Mike talked to Kaye's doctor's assistant who finally admitted that maybe her battery was going bad.
Mike is supposed to have some type of stem-cell surgery, but he has put it off twice now because of Kaye's condition. When I spoke with Mike on Friday, he said that he's not going to have anything done for himself until Kaye gets straightened out. Unfortunately, Kaye's prognosis is not good at all. Mike said that Kaye is having trouble with choking and sometimes with losing her breath. Her balance is wa y off, and if you were to try to talk with her either in person or by phone, you would not be able to understand her. Folks, it's a really bad situation which is continuing to worsen.
Of course, their money situation is still horrendous, but by the grace of God and a very few good friends who have stuck with them through thick and thin, they are barely making it.
My request of ALL of you in this posting is to please pray for Kaye, Mike, and Kelsey. From my own personal experiences, I know the sheer power and strengh of prayer.
