the color black i don't think in itself may not be as much of a red flag as is the amount pattern of black in these dogs ... it's not a hard color to get , it's a dominant color , historically there have been few to no american bulldogs with this color/pattern of solid black with white markings .... all the black dogs that have been given as examples go back to admitted crosses with other breeds .... the frequency of the color is on the increase for some reason , well i'd suppose it should be as it's a dominant color .... anybody i know that's been around for longer than a minute thinks cross when they see solid black bodied american bulldog .... it's also not to reassuring when one of the guys producing it is also producing these

but i'm sure it's all on the up and up ....... this type of consistency takes many generations of careful selection and inbreeding .....![]()
