RNC, there is a fine line between engaging in knowledgeable discussions for the sake of educating and beating a topic down until people turn a deaf ear.
I am someone who works my dogs, I know all about the mental and physical abilities of a solid working dog. I also think people see I carry myself professional. Could I ripe into a lot of these dogs on temperament alone, color, structure, SIZE sure but not looking to cross the line from educational discussion to beating a topic to death for the sake of giving more fame to people doing what they do weather its right or wrong.
Should people discuss? SURE. Should it come at the expense of others post being dropped? NO. Should it come from a sense of anger or unprofessional behavior? NO.
Look I claim to be no expert and made my share of mistakes but I did massive research before buying my first pup and even more after. I learned from books and people. You want to talk oldies hell Dave Leavitt lives here in MD and has come to many shows taking pictures of my dogs and talking for hours, I know oldies now lol.
I am not saying you are wrong to have your feelings, nor that you should not discuss but also think of others when posting. I do not like seeing a new comings post dropping fast under some ones fight. Sometimes these DISCUSSIONS
seem more personal then educational and it may turn away that new comer who just wanted to proudly post about their dog.
I just met someone in person at a dog show/nationals and as we talked I brought up how some people learn something new mmmm I don't know like wry jaw and beat it into the ground. Did he understand I was talking about him maybe but the point is he could have educated without calling out or making personal attacks.
Much respect to all and I am not putting anyone down just please be kind to others as you post and keep personal attacks just that personal. Make it all about the dogs and facts and not personal feelings. Again much respect RNC but it gets old seeing peoples post drop because of attacks.
