Unfortunatley the Veterans Administration is charged with providing health care to veterans while at the same time trying to do it on the cheapest dollars they can spend. Any new court decisions that expand VA health coverage to even more veterans is going to be met with foot dragging and the famous delay game of "studying" the new ruling to death before implementing it. Covering the thousands of servicemen who served on ships off the coast of Vietnam is going to add hundreds of millions of dollars in cost to the VA healthcare system. And as everyone well knows both Congress and the President have a poor track record of providing the amounts needed to fund these programs. The VA healthcare system for veterans has improved greatly in the past 20 years but will always be short of---and have to fight for---proper funding. The blue water servicemen will eventually get their coverage---Unfortunatley Vietnam veterans don't have alot of years left to wait.
