Ran across an interesting Tidbit concerning Dioxin contamination at Treasure Island NB (closed base)--
Seems that the Fire Fighting school is contaminated with Dioxin, likely from the fuels burned to create the nice thick choking black smoke used to train us sailors.
So, those of us that went through T.I. on the way to the Wesco and other ships got our first exposure to dioxin before we even left stateside!
