Shipmates and friends. We will soon gather together in Sacramento for another reunion. I ask that each of you come to reunion and reacquaint yourself with former friends and shipmates. You will have a great time, I guarantee. Our organization only exists so long as everyone supports the association and attends reunions. Also, I understand that the Department of the Navy is considering issuing a
"Combat Action Medal" to those who have earned it. It will be along the lines of the Army Combat Infantryman's Badge. I'll try to keep you all informed.
