I took a picture the other day of the very first bloom of the year and it was a surprise. My Stomatium resedolens put out the first, a couple of days before the yellow ice plant began. This was its first winter, and a lousy one at that, but it looks very healthy now. The jaws were quite mushy a month ago but are nice and firm now, with lots of new growth beginning.
