Hello Benny,
I froze the pollen in 2 x 2 inch zip lock bags. Don't remember where I read to do this. Perhaps my lack of success is because of the freezing. Short term I've used the film canisters as your site suggests. I have Manfreda maculosa blooming and hope to have pollen from a blooming Agave striata soon to try a cross. The Manfreda stigma has a tiny receptive area. Am thinking that the pollen has to barely touch for fertilization. If the striata doesn't open flowers soon I'll save some manfreda pollen to use with the striata as the mother plant. Would appreciate your suggestions.
