Hey Paul,
Now I know the rest of the story! thank you very much. Tried the frozen (but not previously dried) A. attenuata dentata pollen on the Manfreda last night. It was nearly unrecognizable as pollen. Less yellow and not powdery. Didn't adhere to the stigma very well. The treculeana and faxonii pollen still looked good despite being frozen in the fresh state and I tried it on Y. f. concava. Am guessing I can dehydrate pollen by simply laying it out on dry paper for a day or so? Put a bunch of manfreda anthers in a ziplock in the fridge last night to save for a cross attempt with A. striata soon to open. Since they are only in the crisper I guess I can still dry them. Have more flowers yet to open on the Manfreda and will dry the anthers on them if the striata hasn't bloomed to do it fresh.
