Thanx for the tips. I appreciate it. The trunk is firm... but the lack of growth has puzzled me.
Yes, our spring here has been cool and damp, but not quite as damp as what you guys near the coast are getting.
As for the Aloifolia x.....I got the seeds from an Aloifolia, grown in a greenhouse here...put out in the garden in summer.... It could have produced seeds on its own, apparently, or have been pollinated from the only other yuccas in the neighbourhood....filamentosa.
Doing some research, recurv is suspected of being aloifolia x filamentosa, which would make sense.
The difference with my plant, however, is that the leaves are much darker, longer, and wider, and floppier than a recurvifolia...and about a half zone hardier, by my estimation.
We are all waiting for it to flower...it might give us a better explanation...but the mother plant is definately aloifolia.
It looks nothing like my 10 other recurvs in my yard.
