Hello Yucca friends,
In 2008, I were so lucky, that I received pollen from two friends, whom had Yucca rostrata in bloom.
One of the plants were a Yucca rostrata f. viridis and the other the "normal" blueish form.
I now have small hybrid seedlings of Yucca 'Karlsruhensis type 2', crossed with both types.
Those which were polinated with Yucca rostrata f. viridis (pollen from Sascha Weissbeck, Germany), has leaves which already are 40 cm long, but they are not serrated. Here is a photo of it:
The other which were pollinated with the "normal" Yucca rostrata (pollen from Ruud Wouterson), in The Netherlands). This one has almost as long leaves, but it has serrated leaves.

I think it is very interesting that one "father" give the "children" teeth and the other not. We need to make many more hybrids to understand the genetics of Yuccas.
