Hey Paul,
My contention would be that gloriosa if Y. filimentosa concava x aloifolia and that recurvifolia is Y. filimentosa filimentosa (or flacida) x aloifolia. Perhaps this is too obvious or simple. Certainly Y. gloriosa plicata has the concava-morph leaf rigidity and abruptly tapered leaf end. Any tree type yucca from the east will die far above -25F. Perhaps I misread the cold tolerance and it's just 25f and not -25f? All of our "native" tree type yuccas will get some damage here in SE NC zone 8a in a low teens f winter with wind.
