I know there's a bunch of folks on this board that have great success with hybridizing yuccas (am I'm not one of them), but is anyone else like me and not always happy with a yucca bloom? For example, I had a thomsponiana and rupicola bloom during the spring this year, and to this date, I don't see any new growth occurring anywhere on either plant. I feel like I've lost a full year's growth on both yuccas. I also had an elata bloom around the same time, and I'm just starting to see new growth emerging next to the old bloom stalk.
I may alone in this feeling, but I'm not always thrilled when I see a bloom happening.
