Tim,
You gives us a hard job, I really like most of the Yuccas I grow in our garden and unheated greehouse. But if I will have to name a "few" favorites, they might as follows:
Species:
Yucca recurvifolia.
Yucca recurvifolia marginata.
Yucca nana.
Yucca constricta.
Yucca elata.
Yucca sp. [gloriosa forma robusta] "Hæstrupvej", a very big beautiful form, which grows a short trunk.
Yucca rostrata.
Hybrids:
Yucca 'Elegantissima'.
Yucca 'Vittorio Emanuele II'.
Yucca aloifolia x elata, made by Demeter Janakidisz, from Botanical Garden in Budapest, Hungary. I only have a small plant my self, but the one I have seen on a photo is fantastic.
Yucca 'Albuquerque Mystery I' (recurvifolia x glauca complex). Slow grower but becomes very nice in age. Flower unknown.
Of my own hybrids my favorites are:
Yucca glauca X hybrid # 1402 BMJ #1818 + #1844.
Yucca filamentosa x glauca BMJ #1821-22-24-25-26-27.
Yucca 'Bright Edge' X glauca #1805-06-07-08-09-10-11-12.
My small Yucca 'Karlsruhensis type 2'x elata will probably as it grows, climb up and become a top favorite.
Actually is a "normal" Yucca filamentosa also very nice, as it is such a good bloomer, specially when it's become a big clump of rosettes.
I think this was what did comes on my mind.
It will be interesting what Yucca others have as their favorites.
Best wishes
