looks like anti-social behavior to me! No sidewalk on this side of the property so the owner was sick of folks wearing a path in his lawn. He obviously cares for his place.
Very wet here in SE NC. Opuntia oricola I've had over ten years rotted and fell over. the top pads will make new but hate to see the original pad go. Yuccas and agave good so far.
