Thanks Jim. I thought about rebar, but I figured if they flop over I will just cut them off and re-root them. I have two tall matching clumps with two tall trunks each and new shoots from the bases so if they were to flop they would re-grow fairly quickly. This is a fast grower. A year or two back I bought a good sized Agave labled as Truncata from Ronnies' in Delaware. None were actually truncata but looked like a mixture of parryi v parryi and something else. Another nursery in the area also had the same plants listed as truncata but with a photo of protoamericana on the tag. So be careful when searching for true truncata.
