'Palmetto Pal' a gardener that lives near me but 1000' higher (304.80 m) in elev reports his Y.rostrata Blue Skies survived a winter here unprotected with no damage this past winter and its growning on level soil in a northerly facing garden. Does this seem that this could be more hardy than regular Y.rostrada? Given the mild winter with 2 quick lows around 7*f ( -14c ) Im still wondering if it is a hardy variety. Anyone know its limits in a cold wet winter unprotected? STOCK PHOTO from PDN ROOTS of SPECIMENS - more of the color I saw being sold locally. Thanks for any comments Rob z6b/7 Tennessee Appalachia |
