Thanks John for your reply. You seem to live in a true z7 and sometimes I cant say that. We hit a minus 8 in 2003 and before that an amazing -23f in 1985 but other than those freaky temps I normally stay above zero. As per the Rostratas , here is one I planted about what you may do: but heavy winds blew off the grill cover protection and found it the next day and this was the aftermath the following spring ! It seemed more prone to wind here in the Appalachians when elevated greatly. Ive been rostrata shy ever since but hopefully the one I just planted ( has about 6-8 inches of mound overlooking a small bluff will work. I appreciate your advice ! My climate may not work for Rostrata. Elata works good here on mound! |
