It's great to hear your treculeana will bloom again. Please try to create a hybrid! Winter has returned again.........I can't wait for spring to arrive.

Hi Tim, strange that it's still so cold in your area. Are your plants still protected? I'm too waiting for spring. But actually I'm feeling fine at 28°C outside in the south oft Taiwan (business trip). Eckhard

Hi Don, you're right, it's quite early but if you like you can send me some pollen, I'm sure that some of my Yuccas will bloom this year. I still have aloifolia and elephantipes pollen in the fridge... When I'm succesfull I can send you seeds too. Eckhard

if ya'll will remind me how to collect and conserve I'll be glad to send pollen. Have given up on pollinating anything myself...

I need to spray the blooms every night to kill the beetles. When the beetles are controlled, then the pollination will take and seed pods will form.

We have hundreds of florida leaf footed bugs on some of our yucca aloifolia blooms and the moths do the job there. I don't spray them because the moths are successful judging by the exit holes from the fruit. If I had the beetle perhaps that'd be another story. I have never been successful with hand pollination despite watching videos etc. It amazes me when I see examples on line of successful hand pollination.
