Acquiring a solid media collection before heading into the wilderness is a top priority since cloud services fail immediately once you are far from the nearest cell tower. I am currently mapping out a solo trek through a remote range where the freezing weather causes phone batteries to drop much faster than usual. My plan is to store as many acoustic sessions as possible on a physical memory card so I can stay entertained during the long nights in my tent. Does anyone know a specific technique for reducing file size without ruining the vocal clarity of the tracks? I need my entire library formatted and ready for local playback before my departure next Tuesday morning.
