Just sitting here listening to Christmas music, some of which we used to play in the band. Right now, Sleigh Ride is on. I never, ever think of that song without thinking of John Townsend. He did the horse whinny at the end. I especially like the jazzy part in the middle.

BTW, thanks to Bobby Calvery who found it for me, I acquired a used French horn recently and have been playing it a little. I have to wait until Martha goes to the store or something, because she refuses to let me play it in the house. Says it will bother the neighbors.So I am relegated to the closet, which one gets to through the bathroom, which one gets to through the bedroom. In other words, I am deep in the (soundproof) bowels of the house. But I am enjoying it. (I wonder how many jocks my age are still playing ball?)
